For The Butchery of Sacred Cows

A man can't be a toddler forever. You, dear reader, are a baby in spiritual matters whether you're ninety years old or ten. It's nothing to be ashamed of. We all start on milk like a baby, but every child is expected to eat solid food as they grow. Today is the day we put you on the hard punching bittersweet gospel food meant to grow your mind and faith to even greater action and pure living. It's time my dear readers for you to take your faith to the next level. To make your father's faith your own, or to properly understand the path you have taken as a fresh convert.

Understand that I write to you in a world in perpetual infancy of faith and discernment. There are snares behind every book, video, declaration of reality, and online guru vying for your attention, and our generations from Z to X are ill prepared for their honeywords. For their poisoned milk. For their false solid food. The modern world is much like a man handing an arsenic laced lollipop to an infant. The teachers of the lie are out in droves for they sense their power ebbing. No longer will they have unadulterated access to our youth, and so they must do all they can to corrupt the imbecilic adults in their midst.

Imbecile does not mean stupid. An imbecile is an individual whose growth has been retarded, and thus acts like a child. That is our great danger. The great trap laid by our enemy in the shadows as we learn to fight him once more. As the great trials come, the one who tempts you in the night is already playing the long game. He is now targeting your children and children’s children sowing the seeds of tolerance of evil into our midst even before we draw our swords to defend them.

I'm not going to sugar coat this drought for you dear reader. If I am the one who God has called to teach you then you are truly infantile in your faith. Many of you are convinced you have understanding. Sure in your ability to discern good from evil, and thus have put your descendants on the path of destruction. You are like the original targets of Paul's words that brought us this analogy of milk and food in Hebrews 5.

About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God.

for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

Hebrews 5: 11-14

Most people ignore the context around verses for their own purposes, and thus to adapt the Bible to their preferences rather than allow God's word to transform their view of the world. Hebrews 5:14 is no exception. Everyone concentrates on the analogy, and not on the fact that the Hebrews were being admonished. They were on the make up test. The slow short bus, and Paul was attempting to bring them back up to speed. We are in a similar boat. We can blame the boomers, as we should, for their heresies and infant inducing ways, but if we are to improve we must grow past throwing blame and choose to persevere no matter our handicaps.

I am no great theologian or master of Biblical principals. I am a man who God called from the lies, and so has called to shine his light on evil for all to see. From whatever perspective you come from you will experience growing pains in this process. Burning off the fat of lies is never a pleasant process. But, if you allow God to be the supreme master of your heart. If you follow him, and not your selfish desires. If you listen to your savor on what the world is rather than what you want it to be. If you meet him and sincerely ask him to change your will till it aligns with his; then you will find no adversary, no trick, no snare of the devil or man, not even one from your own family, will hold you.

The decision is yours. Stay with the poisoned milk and arsenic candy, or come to the Lord's table for steak with the grown ups. Fair warning, we're going to have to butcher the cow first, and it's going to be a bloody unpleasant affair. So, if you're ready, let's sharpen our knives and get started. Those sacred cows aren't going to turn to steak on their own.

Lesson one will release 8/11/24 with a new one every Sunday.
