The countdown to the invasion of Earth has begun. A merciless alien race bent on human extermination has pointed its armada towards Earth. The countdown to their arrival begins. A mysterious intelligence warns only a young scientist, Marc Ibarra, of our impending doom. Together, the two create a plan for humanity to survive the invasion. Even with the aid of advanced new technology, Marc is faced with a major problem. The plan—if it works—can only save a fraction of us. Who survives? Who dies? How can humanity win the battle against almost certain annihilation? With what will only be an ember of humanity left, will it be enough to rekindle our chance for survival and strike back at the Xaros? The Ember War is the first novel in an epic military sci-fi series by Richard Fox. Adapted for comics by Jon Del Arroz.

The Call to Repentance panel 1

John Foster raised his voice with prophetic authority that echoed throughout the packed stadium, his words carrying the weight of divine commission as he delivered God's final warning to a generation that had chosen rebellion over righteousness. The supernatural storm continued raging beyond the fire barrier, yet within the protected sanctuary, sixty thousand souls heard the Lord's call to repentance proclaimed with power that transcended human eloquence.

"Hear now the word of the Lord concerning those who have chosen to serve the prince of darkness rather than the Prince of Peace," John declared, his voice resonating with the majesty of ancient prophets who spoke divine truth to rebellious generations. "To each according to their transgressions, the Almighty offers one final opportunity for repentance before His tribulations fall upon the earth."

The prophet's voice rose with increasing intensity as he began his systematic call to the wicked:

"To those in the American hegemony, both foreign and domestic, who desire to rule the world at Satan's behest—repent! You have made yourselves instruments of global tyranny, seeking dominion over nations and peoples according to the ancient lie whispered in Eden: 'ye shall be as gods.' Your empire spans the earth through violence and deception, yet the Lord of hosts declares that your kingdom shall fall and your power be broken. Humble yourselves before the Almighty while mercy may still be found, for the day approaches when He shall laugh at your calamity and mock when your fear cometh."

John's prophetic gaze seemed to pierce beyond the stadium walls to address the corridors of power throughout the world:

"To those in government who promote empire over nation—repent! You have betrayed the sacred trust of the people who elected you, serving foreign masters rather than your own citizens. You have sold your birthright for a mess of pottage, trading national sovereignty for personal advancement. The Lord knows how you have perverted justice, corrupted judgment, and made your offices instruments of oppression rather than protection. Turn from your wickedness while the day of grace remains, lest ye be swept away in the whirlwind of divine wrath."

The prophet's voice thundered against institutional corruption:

"To the wicked who subvert nations through graft, degeneracy, and subversion—repent! You have made yourselves enemies of righteousness, using wealth and influence to corrupt the foundations of Christian civilization. Through secret combinations and hidden conspiracies, you have sought to establish the devil's kingdom upon earth. Yet know this: the Lord seeth in secret, and that which is done in darkness shall be shouted from the housetops. Your hidden works shall be exposed, your secret dealings revealed, and your names written in shame before all nations."

John's condemnation extended to those who corrupted truth itself:

"To those in government providing funding for false science and false medicine—repent! You have used the people's treasure to advance lies and deceptions, calling evil good and good evil. Through corrupt institutions and perverted education, you have led multitudes astray from the path of truth. The blood of those who died through your false medicines cries out for divine justice, while the souls corrupted by your false teachings demand vengeance at the throne of God."

The prophet's voice carried across continents as he addressed global powers:

"To those who control the worldwide organizations that promote globalism—repent! You have sought to rebuild Babel's tower through international institutions that mock God's division of nations and peoples. Your United Nations, your World Economic Forum, your countless NGOs and foundations serve not humanity's welfare but Satan's ancient dream of global dominion. The Lord scattered the peoples at Babel for this very ambition, and He shall scatter your organizations as chaff before the wind."

John's prophetic fire burned against media corruption:

"To the wicked who promote degeneracy and subversion through movies, music, and television—repent! You have made yourselves pornographers of the soul, peddling filth and corruption to innocent children while calling it entertainment. Through your platforms, you have normalized every form of wickedness, celebrated every rebellion against divine order, and made heroes of villains while mocking virtue and righteousness. The millstone awaits those who cause little ones to stumble, and your judgment shall be swift and terrible."

The prophet's voice rose against information warfare:

"To the wicked who control mainstream media and spread propaganda and degeneracy, who do all in your power to subvert Christianity—repent! You have made yourselves enemies of truth, using your platforms to lie to the people and corrupt their understanding. Where God says one thing, you proclaim the opposite. Where His word brings life, you sow death and confusion. You have become the very false prophets against whom Scripture warned, leading many astray through your smooth words and lying wonders."

John's divine authority struck at entertainment industry corruption:

"To those who took the ticket—repent! You know what ticket I speak of—the conscious decision to sell your souls for fame, wealth, and worldly glory. In boardrooms and secret ceremonies, you exchanged eternal life for temporal pleasure, divine favor for earthly success. Yet even now, mercy remains available to those who will break their unholy covenants and return to the Author of their souls. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, even the deliberate surrender of one's soul to the enemy."

The prophet's condemnation extended to technological tyranny:

"To Big Tech that uses control of social media to spread propaganda, to promote degeneracy, to break up families, to promote feminism, to facilitate invasion through illegal immigration—repent! You have made your platforms instruments of social destruction, using algorithms and artificial intelligence to corrupt minds and destroy communities. Through your manipulation of information flow, you have interfered in elections, suppressed truth, and promoted every form of wickedness while censoring righteousness."

John's voice carried divine judgment against false charity:

"To false charities who use graft from taxes to undermine nations through immigration—repent! You claim to serve mercy while serving mammon, using humanitarian language to disguise invasion and conquest. Your organizations facilitate the destruction of Christian peoples under the pretense of compassion, yet the Lord knows your hearts and sees how you profit from the misery you create and perpetuate."

The prophet's fire burned against global manipulation:

"To NGOs who subvert nations through graft, false morality, and degeneracy—repent! Operating beyond democratic accountability, you impose your will upon peoples who never consented to your rule. Through corrupt funding and deceptive practices, you undermine legitimate governments while advancing the agenda of your hidden masters. The sovereignty you mock belongs to God, and He shall defend it against your usurpations."

John's condemnation struck medical tyranny:

"To Big Pharma, to those evil ones who create false vaccines and false medicines, and who never, ever deem to create cures for diseases—repent! You have made sickness your business and death your profit, creating treatments that maintain misery rather than medicines that restore health. The blood of millions cries out against you for the cures you have suppressed and the poisons you have promoted as healing."

The prophet's voice thundered against gender confusion:

"To those corporations who provide hormones to convert men to false women, and women to false men—repent! You profit from the mutilation of God's image in humanity, encouraging delusion and promoting the destruction of the body temple. To the false physicians who perform surgery to transform men into fake women and women into fake men—repent! You have perverted the art of healing into an abomination, using medical knowledge to corrupt rather than restore divine creation."

John's most devastating condemnation fell upon child murder:

"To abortionists, those murdering babies—repent! Of all the sins that cry to heaven for vengeance, yours reaches highest, for you have made murder your profession and death your trade. The blood of sixty-five million innocent Americans stains your hands, while countless millions more worldwide demand justice for their truncated lives. Yet even you may find mercy if you cease your evil practice and dedicate your remaining years to protecting the innocent you once destroyed."

The prophet's voice carried economic judgment:

"To the corporations who give immigrants jobs instead of citizens—repent! You have betrayed your own people for cheaper labor, destroying communities and families for profit margins. To Big Agriculture, who prefer profits over providing jobs for natives, and big crop yields over the health and safety of customers—repent! You poison the land and the people while impoverishing those whose ancestors built the civilization you now exploit."

John's final call extended even to invaders:

"To the invaders, to those who swarmed into nations at the behest of foreign rulers of Christendom, to live off the graft and largess of citizens while giving nothing in return but crime and violence—repent, and leave! Return to your own lands and build Christian civilization there rather than consuming what others have created."

The prophet's voice rose against ecclesiastical corruption:

"To the Lavender Mafia in the Vatican—repent! You have made the house of prayer a den of thieves and perverts. To preachers preaching prosperity gospel, Dispensationalism, and other heresies—repent! You lead souls to hell with your false doctrines. To women serving as preachers, pastors, and priests—you aren't. God's order stands unchanging. Repent!"

John's final warning encompassed all wickedness:

"If you do evil—repent! God knows your sins; you hide nothing from Him. It is to the evildoers who refuse to repent that God aims His tribulations, yet we shall all suffer His wrath for allowing such evil to multiply unchecked."

The prophet's voice echoed through the stadium with divine finality: "Choose this day whom you will serve—but know that tomorrow, judgment begins."
